Bruce Peninsula, Ontario

Pleasant Bay, Northern Bruce Peninsula, Ontario

Our recent trip to the Bruce Peninsula was also the first time in months that I’ve had my 1921 No. 10 Cirkut camera out.

Sometimes the photograph is only part of what you bring home. Sometimes it’s the rhythm of working deliberately again.

The clouds were blowing in swiftly over Lake Huron, meaning that the light was constantly shifting from the rising sun. This was one of four negatives I exposed and the one that made me happiest. I’ll likely attempt printing this as a vandyke or kallitype in the coming weeks.

I also brought my much smaller Diana toy camera with me and ran a couple of old expired rolls of HP5+ through it.
